If your accountant only calls at year end, that is compliance. It is not advice.
We look after your accounts, tax, VAT and bookkeeping, and show you every month what the numbers mean, before you make the big decisions. For UK service businesses and property investors with limited companies.
Every client gets a reply within two working days. No chasing.

Where most clients are when they first call
None of this comes from carelessness. It comes from an accountant who only looks backwards.
The bank balance looks healthy, so you assume the business is profitable.
Cash and profit are different things. VAT, tax and money owed to suppliers all sit in that balance until the day they leave it.
Your accountant gets in touch once a year, with a tax bill and no explanation.
By then the year is over. Nothing in those figures can change the decisions you have already made.
You are hiring and setting prices without knowing your real margin.
Most founders know their turnover to the pound. Far fewer know which clients or services actually make money.
You own property through several companies and nobody looks at them together.
Loans between companies, overpaid tax and missed reliefs tend to hide in the gaps between one set of accounts and the next.

A month with ASK Advisors
Most accountants disappear between year ends. Here is what happens in a normal month instead.
- First week
Last month closed
Bank feeds reconciled, invoices and bills checked, payroll posted. The books for last month are finished.
- Second week
Your figures arrive
Profit, margins and cash for the month, with a short note on what changed and why.
- Through the month
Questions answered
Thinking about a hire, a price rise or a purchase? Ask before you decide. Every question gets a reply within two working days.
- Before every deadline
No surprises
VAT, payroll and tax payments are forecast weeks ahead, so you know the figure before HMRC asks for it.
A tax planning conversation, while there is still time to act
We sit down with you before the year closes, not after. Director pay, dividends, pension contributions, equipment purchases and timing are all still open to change, and the tax bill is not yet fixed.

Common questions
Straight answers to what people usually ask before the first call.
Who do you work with?
Founder-led UK limited companies. That means service businesses such as agencies, consultancies, recruiters and professional firms, and property investors who hold their portfolio in one or more limited companies.
Most of our clients turn over between £300,000 and £5 million. If you are smaller but growing quickly, it is still worth a conversation.
How do I switch from my current accountant?
It is simpler than most people expect. Once you decide to go ahead, we contact your current accountant for professional clearance and the records we need, set up our access with HMRC, and take it from there.
You do not need an awkward conversation. A short email from you to your current accountant is usually enough.
Why are there no prices on the website?
Two businesses with the same turnover can need very different things. A published price would either be wrong for you or come with a long list of exceptions.
We would rather understand your situation first and give you an accurate fixed fee than a guess.
What is the difference between an accountant and a fractional CFO?
An accountant makes sure your accounts and tax are right and filed on time. A fractional CFO looks forward. That means cash flow forecasts, pricing, hiring decisions, funding and planning for growth, on a part-time basis and without the cost of a full-time finance director.
Many clients start with one and add the other as the business grows.
